Since 1986, the chord progressions of the blues have echoed across the Ospelse Peel. Over the years, the festival has become such an integral part of the Ospel community that it is now inseparably connected to it. The tiny one-day event has since grown into a full-fledged two-day festival, securing a well-deserved spot among the most important bluesfestivals in Europe. ## Stories from volunteers Volunteers share their stories about the past, present, and future of the festival [ ![](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/PPaMTL_RY_M/hqdefault.jpg) De Geschiedenis ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPaMTL_RY_M) [ ![](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/F8B5dhq175g/hqdefault.jpg) De Muziek ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8B5dhq175g&cc_load_policy=1) [ ![](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/exO53hyp8cI/hqdefault.jpg) De Vrijwilligers ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exO53hyp8cI) [ ![](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/Wt8l2qVZie4/hqdefault.jpg) De Sponsoren ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt8l2qVZie4) [ ![](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/Zd43Q0MceZU/hqdefault.jpg) De Toekomst ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd43Q0MceZU) ## Volunteers Moulin Blues is one of the few festivals that is made possible almost entirely by the efforts of more than 500 volunteers from the region. They are involved in setting up the festival grounds, supporting the event during the festival, and handling the breakdown afterwards. ![Two volunteers behind the bar](https://www.moulinblues.nl/assets/files/resized/pages/_500x400_crop_center-center_none/Vrijwilligers-Moulin-Blues-Johan-Horst-1.jpg) ## ANBI-status The festival is organized annually on a voluntary basis by the Stichting Rhythm & Blues Ospel. In 2022, this foundation was granted ANBI status (Public Benefit Organization), a recognition for its contribution to the public good. Stichting Rhythm & Blues Ospel operates completely independently, without direct influence from commercial event organizations. ![Festival grounds with ANBI logo](https://www.moulinblues.nl/assets/files/resized/pages/_500x400_crop_center-center_none/anbi.jpg) ## 40 years Blues in Ospel How a small festival became a mature two-day event -
