Delta Fuse
As their name somewhat gives away, this Irish trio is completely obsessed with Delta Blues and with electrically amplified music. Take the gritty grooves of John Lee Hooker and the hypnotizing rhythm of Junior Kimbrough and fuse that at maximum volume with heavy rock and a good dose of fuzz from ’60s psychedelia. Then you get Delta Fuse. They affectionately describe their style themselves as “Cut-Throat Brothel Blues.”
What awaits us here is a raw, sweaty, live performance with a hallucinating groove and scorching guitar work. A warning is in order, as these gentlemen don’t mind an extra decibel or two. A set of spare fuses is already at the ready.
