Duke Robillard and his all-stars
A blues veteran like Duke Robillard practically needs no introduction. For those who might not know him: he is the co-founder of Roomful of Blues, was a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds for years, and has had an extremely successful solo career since the late ’70s, during which he has released about 40 albums. He plays blues, swing, jump blues, and jazzy blues, and is acclaimed for his warm, melodic guitar playing.
For this performance, he is pulling out all the stops and arriving with a six-piece all-star band. This ensemble consists of Mark Texeira (drums), Marty Ballou (bass), Bruce Bears (keys), Chris Cote (vocals), and the horn players Doug James and Mark Earley. What makes it extra special: Robillard was the headliner of our very first edition in 1986. We are therefore incredibly happy that he is on our poster again 40 years later!
