Jon Amor Trio
Jon Amor is the kind of artist who thrives here in Ospel. He first appeared in 1999 as the guitarist of The Hoax, immediately leaving his calling card. Both sides wanted more, and over the years he returned with various line-ups. Now he performs as a trio with Jerry Soffe on bass and Tom Gilkes on drums.
The towering Brit is hard to pin down musically. He is a distinctive songwriter who aims to surprise with his music, whether rock, pop, funk, or blues. With his current band, he returns to his blues-rock roots. Sometimes it’s raw and powerful, other times brooding and menacing, or even danceable and funky. But there is always room for improvisation and his signature solos, making every performance from this power trio a unique experience.
